The first strong summer south easterly wind blew through Muizenberg on the 24th September, which also coincided with Heritage Day in South Africa. We had managed to escape the SE so far this spring, but as you can see from these images – the SE really turned up and churned False Bay up into a formidable boiling mess!

The only guys who had a blast in these conditions were the kite surfers, who can be seen further down the beach by sunrise circle.
